Rabbit literacy danger video.
How did we miss this? We just found a YouTube dramatization of just how dangerous things can get when rabbits learn to read.

The website for the apparently recently relaunched Cracked magazine does a comix mashup called 100 Acre Deadwood. Sorta funny, but they missed some great opportunities to more fully integrate the Pooh characters into the Deadwood setting -- Tigger General, "Feed the corpse to Pu's [or maybe Ru's] Piglets", etc.
If you think the Cracked piece is an abuse of the beloved Bear of Very Little Brain, take a look at the abomination that really is coming to cable. (And toy departments, lunchboxes, etc.)
Someone invited us to join the Librarian Fit Club. We're wondering whether we should take that as an insult.
However, the effect of Vermont microbrew consumption is clearly visible in this photo.
(Which reminds us ... Any other photos of bicycling librarians out on Flickr? Tag 'em with bicyclinglibrarians!)
Who Let the Dog in the Library? (link goes to the mp3) is the latest tune by the anAACRonisms, just added to BibDitties. Lyrics are here.
EmLS barks out the tempo at the start. She remembers hearing about one of the Ramones saying the band didn't play short songs, but normal songs really fast.
p.s. If you haven't already seen David Lee King's music video, Are You Blogging This?, you're gonna wanna watch it.
We hadn't updated our Links pages for a long, long, time. So we decided to dump them and just use del.icio.us instead, so now we'll be able to neglect our links there. The "Links" button on our site's menu now goes to a page with our del.icio.us tagcloud. We're combining The Laughing Librarian bookmarks with librarism.com bookmarks on our account. (We'll delete the links pages at librarism.com soon. Maybe.)
Of course, there's an RSS feed, and we're rolling the 13 most recent links where our 'groll used to be on our homepage's sidebar.
If you're a Chicago-area librarian with a blog or other site or a blogger we've met (probably at a conference), and we haven't bookmarked you, let us know.
Oh, yeah, we have a new Flickr account, too. (We had stupidly forgotten/lost all login info for the old one, including the fake birthday we gave Yahoo. Apologies to everyone we re-added as a contact.)
